There is no doubt that these oils have beautiful aromas, and we are very lucky that these magical essences come in such a convenient form for us........usually in a small bottle!
Here, at Pure RoK, we wanted to make the aromas of our soaps and body products as natural and as gorgeous as possible, so we have created unique blends for different occasions!

BASIL (Ocimum basilica (basil) oil

A good quality Basil essential oil has as a light, fresh, sweet, spicy, herbal scent with a mild licorice-like note.


It is supposed to have anti-depressant, antiseptic,anti-bacterial and anti-spasmodic properties.

It is reported to help with alertness, concentration, headache, migraine, fatigue and depression. 







BERGAMOT (Citrus bergamia)

Fresh, sweet citrus with spicy, floral notes that is familiar to many as the flavouring in Earl Grey Tea. 

It has the fresh, sweet, citrus scent Uplifting and relaxing, it is good for building confidence and enhancing your mood. It has a long history of use for oily and troubled skin.


It is said to have anti-depressant, anti-septic and astringent properties. 

Is considered uplifting, rejuvenating, and balancing.

It is reported to help alleviate anxiety, depression, stress, fatigue and relieve skin irritations like eczema, psoriasis, acne, insect bites, wounds, ulcers and herpes.


Black Pepper

BLACK PEPPER ( Piper nigrum (pepper) seed oil)

It's a lovely warm, sharp. woody, dry, spice aroma.


It is said to have anti-toxic, anti-microbial and antiseptic properties. It is also reported to have aphrodisiac (oh la, la) properties.

Reports show that it increases memory and awareness sand also helps to fight colds, flu, infections, viruses, arthritis, plus muscular  aches and pain.





CHAMOMILE (Matricaria chamomilla)

This aroma ranges from medium to strong in strength. The scent can vary depending which type you use. It can have a straw like aroma, a warm spice herbaceous aroma or a fruity apple like aroma.


It has anti bacterial, anti depressant, anti-inflammatory, into septic and nerve sedative properties.

Benefits for the skin include help to relieve acne, allergies, burns, dermatitis, eczema and rashes.The aromatic benefits include the ability to help relieve headache, migraine, insomnia, nervous tension and other stress related symptoms.





Cinnamon Leaf

CINNAMON LEAF (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)

Strong, warm, spice scent


Has anti-septic, anti-biotic, astringent and insecticidal properties.



It may cause skin irritation 

Clary Sage

CLARY SAGE (Salvia sclarea)

It has an earthy, herbaceous scent.


Is said to be beneficial to acne, dandruff, depression, perspiration, hair loss, inflamed skin, migraines, nervous fatigue, oily skin and hair, menstrual related problems, promoting sleep, reducing wrinkles and varicose veins.



EUCALYPTUS (Eucalyptus globulus)

It has a strong, herbaceous scent.


It is known to have anti fungal, anti infectious, anti septic, anti viral and deodorant properties 



FRANKINCENSE (boswellia sacra)

This has a wonderfully spicy, warm, woody scent.

BENEFITS: It's often used for dry and mature skin. Helps fighting wrinkles.



GERANIUM (Pelargonium graveolens )

It has a slightly minty, rose-like, herbaceous scent.


It is suitable for oily and dry skin.

Is is supposed to be helping with skin problems like eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.





GINGER (Zingiber officinale)

It is of pale yellow colour and the aroma is warm, woody and spicy.


It has anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-septic and aphrodisiac properties.

It also helps fight acne and spots and if you use it in your shampoo it will encourage hair growth.



GRAPEFRUIT (Citrus paradisi)

This is a definitely wake me up aroma of bright, fresh, clean, citrus scent.


It not only smells great it is also said to be beneficial for acne, congested and oily skin, depression, headaches, hot flashes, nervous exhaustion, promoting hair growth and toning skins.


LAVENDER (lavandula officinalis)

Most people love Lavender and it brings different memories alive for a lot of people, but I do believe that the majority will think of a hot summers day in France....


It has a lot of benefits when used in soap as it supposed to help relieve insomnia, headaches, depression and nervous tension.

If used in shampoo it helps fighting dandruff and out of my personal experience I know it helps when your kids get knits. Just cover their head in Lavender shampoo and leave it for about 30 minutes, then wash out and condition with Lavender. I did for my two and it works. (Please note that this is just my own personal experience and no medical advise)

And also it is said to help fight eczema and acne.




LEMON (Citrus limonium)

Another gorgeous citrus aroma which smells like fresh lemon peels.


It has antibiotic, antiseptic and insecticidal properties.

It is also known to be beneficial for acne, arthritis, colds, concentration, insect bites, depression and cuts.

Very good for oily skin and hair.



LIME ( Citrus Aurantifolia)

It has a sweet, sharp citrus peel aroma


Very good for oily skin and it is said to help fight acne and skin irritation.

It also soothes cuts and colds.



LEMONGRASS (Cymbopogon flexuosus)

It has a strong, fresh, grassy lemon scent with earthy undertones. To me it's quite an oriental smell, which I like.


It has antiseptic and anti-depressant properties.

Very good to use if you have oily skin or suffer from acne.



MANDARIN (Citrus reticulate)

It's a gorgeous fresh, fruity citrus aroma that tends to be sweeter than other citrus aromas.


It has anti-septic and sedative properties. It is said to be beneficial in the fight against acne and it's very good for congested and oils skin. It is even believed that it eases stretch marks.




MARJORAM (Origanum marjorana)

It has a warm, sweet and spice aroma


It has anti bacterial and anti septic properties.

It is said to ease headache and migraine. Soothes bruises, combats anxiety and colds.

Using marjoram in soap does help improve a dull skin complexion and in hair shampoo it can help to ged rid of dandruff and also of dry hair.






PATCHOULI (Pogostemon cablin)

It's a warm, musty, spicy and earthy aroma.


It has antidepressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, cicatrisant, cytophylactic, deodorant, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicide, and insecticide properties.

Patchouli essential oil has been used as an aphrodisiac for hundreds of years and it is useful for men and women.

It has been known to help in the treatment of eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and sores.


PEPPERMINT (Mentha piperita)

It has a lovely strong, sharp, fresh mint scent.


It's extremely beneficial for acne, dermatitis, eczema, headache and migraines.

It also stimulates circulation and it's rejuvenating and freshening.




ROSEMARY (rosemarinus officinalis)

It has a strong, fresh, woody herbal scent.


It's very good for dry and mature skin as it helps fight the appearance of fine wrinkles.

Also, it is said to stimulate hair growth and reduce the appearance of varicose veins.

In shampoo this oil also promotes a healthy, moisturized scalp and reverse premature graying.



TANGERINE (Citrus tangerinia)

Gorgeous sweet, fresh citrus aroma very similar to mandarin.


Apart from the real zesty aroma  is is said to be beneficial for acne, congested and oily skin, insomnia, nervous tension, scars, skin disorders, and stretch marks.

Tea Tree

TEA TREE (Melaleuca alternifolia)

It has a fresh, woody, camphoraceous aroma that is warm and spicy yet slightly medicinal.


It is a natural antiseptic that helps heal cuts and bruises

It can help clear up acne, helping to create naturally glowing smooth skin.

Good for people with oily skin


VETIVER (Vetiveria Zizanoides or Andropogon Muricatus)

It has a very pleasant, mild, earthy, and musky aroma which has a cooling effect on the body and the mind.


The essential oil of vetiver is a well known sedative and it helps calm nervousness

It helps to prevent acne and other skin disorders.

It is said it helps with muscular aches, dryness and cracking of the skin.



YLANG-YLANG (cananga odorata)

It has has a wonderfully rich, exotic, sweet floral aroma and it's widely used in oriental perfumes and is reported to be an aphrodisiac. 


This oil sedates or calms nervous afflictions, stress, anger and anxiety, while inducing a relaxed feeling.

It will help to clear up bad skin and give you a youthful glow.

This lovely aroma can help you to lift your mood.
